For individuals & business owners

You don't need a lawyer to use mediation. If you're a small business owner, employer, neighbor, or individual dealing with a dispute, mediation is often faster, more private, and far less expensive than going to court.

  • Business and contract disputes
  • Employer-employee conflicts
  • Neighbor and HOA disagreements
  • Debt and consumer disputes

The process

Simple, clear, and always confidential.

Most people have never been through mediation before. Here's what to expect from your first call to a signed agreement.

01

Free 30-minute consultation

We talk through your situation, answer your questions, and determine if mediation is the right fit. No obligation, no pressure.

02

Intake & scheduling

Both parties complete a brief intake form. A 25% retainer secures your date. Cancellations more than 24 hours in advance receive a full refund.

03

Mediation session

Sessions are held jointly and/or in separate caucuses depending on the situation — in-person or via Zoom. You stay in control of the outcome.

04

Settlement agreement

If parties reach an agreement, we prepare a written Mediated Settlement Agreement the same day. If not, everything stays fully confidential.

Why ResolveTogether

A different kind of mediator.

Industrial-organizational psychology Most mediators come from law. April McCalmont brings a behavioral science lens — understanding how cognitive biases like anchoring, attribution error, and confirmation bias affect negotiation outcomes, and how to work around them.
25 years in the room As a former Chief People Officer, April has navigated thousands of workplace conflicts, difficult conversations, and high-stakes negotiations at the executive level. That experience translates directly to the mediation table.
No billable hour pressure As a non-attorney mediator, the only goal is resolution — not prolonging the process. Flat session rates mean everyone knows the cost upfront.
Deeply local Based in Lakeway, TX with a presence in Pagosa Springs, CO — serving the Hill Country, NW Austin corridor, and Southwest Colorado communities where she lives and works.
"The goal of mediation isn't just to settle a case — it's to help people move forward. Understanding why we dig in, make assumptions, and talk past each other is how we get there." — April McCalmont, Founder, ResolveTogether Mediation
